Richard Kirby

Richard Kirby is the resident wordsmith and jack-of-all-trades at Kitchen Sink Creative Group. A long-time writer with a background in journalism, Richard writes the copy for kitchensinkcreativegroup.com and also takes many of the pictures Jean uses in her photo compositions.

Richard grew up in the Birmingham area, and attended Auburn University where he studied journalism. After college and several years in the newspaper industry in Mississippi, Richard returned to Birmingham and worked in marketing. His latest project is the comedic science fiction novel Committed, being published online in serial form on arkirby.com.

Richard enjoys amateur photography and often lugs around an old Minolta 35mm film camera on camping and canoeing trips. He has two daughters, Katherine and Juliana. He married Jean Campbell in 2007, and they live in the Birmingham area.
